More than 150 Met in Informal Gathering
More than 150 former students of Brookfield International College participated in the informal gathering organized by the college on May 29 at the college premise. Students from all the faculties of the college took part in the meet. Many of the students who passed out from the college since its establishment in 2000 took part in the get-together programme. All the teaching faculty members were also present in the gathering. The programme started at 2p.m. and lasted for around three hours.
All of the students who attended the gathering were seen enthusiastic and excited to meet together in a platform after a gap of long time. Some of the
students proposed to from an alumni organization of the college students. Few of them thanked the college administration for organizing such programme.
One of the students said that it was the responsibility of the former students to organize such get-together. She thanked the college for initiating
such meet.
As per the suggestion of former students, an adhoc committee consisting of 13 members has been formed. The committee members are Dr. Roshan Basnet, Ranjita Manandhar, Sanjay Shrestha, Sunny Mahat, Binod Shrestha, Bijesh Shrestha, Sudiksya Tuladhar, Kyaron Dhoju, Neha Rajbahak, Shree Ram Ghimire, Pramila Pantha, Puja Goyal and Dhiraj Shrestha.
It has decided to meet on Asadh 5, 2067 (19 June, 2010) at 2 p.m. sharp, at the college premise to discuss about the formation of college students' "Alumni Organization". The committee will also discuss about the prospective activities that can be carried out by the former students. The adhoc committee and the college administration request all the former students of BIC to attend the get-together on 19 June, 2010, Saturday.

All the former students of Brookfield International College, who passed out from this college since its establishment, are requested to come on 15th Jestha, 2067, Saturday at 2:00pm sharply at the college premise for the discussion of forming Alumni Organization of the former students. 1st Brookfield Quiz Contest 2066
On the occasion of 60th Democracy Day Brookfield Academy Higher Secondary School had successfully organized the 1st Brookfield Inter School Quiz Contest 2066. On the Program more than 15 reputed schools of Kathmandu valley had participated. Among them AVM School, Puspasadan School and Valley View English School were declared 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. The chief guest of the program Purushottam Dahal, Chief person of Human Right and Peace Society, Nepal had distributed prize to the winners. He said that such kinds of program must be organized to enhance the knowledge of the students. The Chairman of the program Gopal Krishna Shrestha, Founder Principal of REF had concluded program by delivering speech on which he hade congratulated the winners, thanked participants and he committed that Brookfield will be organizing the this kind of program every year.

The Chief Administrator Mr. Uttam Sapkota administered the oath of office, secrecy and diligence to the new-elects, while the Principal Gopal Krishna Shrestha delivered a speech on the avenues in which the students' council can work and contribute to the promotion of the college.
A brief meeting of the newly elected council has decided to organize inter-section basketball tournament, and a welcome program in the near future.
Orientatation Held, Freshers Formally Taken in Kavre – July 31
Orientation for the freshers' newly taken in for the session 2066/08 for class XI was held at Hotel High View, Dhulikhel, Kavre on July 31, 2009. The freshers included students from all faculties of Brookfield International College, Sinamagal and the students opting for Travel and Tourism at Whitefield College, Chhetrapati, the number reaching 105. Both the colleges are being run under Raktakali Education Foundation, Kathamndu.
The program chaired by Gopal Krishna Shrestha, Founder Director of Raktakali Educational Foundation, commenced with a welcome address delivered by Mr. Paras Shrestha, Principal, Whitefield College. Mr. Shrestha assured the students that their choices to be a part of the Foundation was a right decision and the colleges under the foundation would do their best to cater to their needs.
Dr, Madan Manandhar, Director, Center for Human Resource Management, delivered a brilliant presentation on students' motivation and enhancement of
academic and practical performance in studies, while Mr. B.N. Dahal, Kavre-based Chartered Account oriented students with the strength and promises of
chartered accountancy as a lucrative career.
Mr. Uttam Sapkota, the chief Administrator of Brookfield International College administered the oath of honesty and diligence to the students. He also spoke about the history of the colleges and the rules a student is supposed to abide by. He recalled how the colleges managed to produce HSEB toppers in Science and Management Streams, and many doctors, engineers and professions in other fields, both at home and abroad.
Mahendra Prasad Yadav, Senior Faculty (Zoology) urged the students to cultivate positive mental attitude and constantly apply themselves to constructive and creative tasks. He compared the students' mind with a field where weeds, metaphorically standing for the negative thoughts, come of their own accord, and need weeding and cleaning at times.
Sachit Upadhyaya of XII (Management) and Pooja Shrestha of XI (Science) also spoke on the occasion and expressed their happiness being a part of the glorious institution.
The program was also attended by Mr. Narendra Paneru, Academic Advisor BIC, Mr. Netra Swar, coordinator Whitefield College, and all the faculties teaching at Brookfield International College, Sinamangal.
Freshers' Orientation, 2066
The Brookfield Academy Higher Secondary School, Sinamagal is organizing an Orientation Program for the students freshly admitted to various faculties at the college for the session 2066/68. The program is scheduled to be held on Shrawan 17, 2066 at Hotel High View, Dhulikhel Kathmandu. Guest speakers, renounced educationst Dr. Madan Manandhar and Charter Accountant Mr. B. N. Dahal will address the gathering and throw light on the career opportunities awaiting students in various faculties in the days to come. Student representatives, one each from grade XI and XII will also express their views.
The program will also be marked by introductory round, oath taking by the new admits and a lively cultural show by students and guest artist in the afternoon. Provisions of breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and late-afternoon light refreshment will also be made.
Students and faculties need to report at the Brookfield International College, Sinamangal at 7 a.m. in the morning. The bus will depart at 7.30 a.m. for Dhulikhel in the morning, and leave Dhulikhel for BIC at 4.p.m. in the afternoon.
